Mother waiting for her Lunch
I visited Grandma at Legacy Center today and the attendants said the brightened up consierably when she saw me. I walked past her looking for her in the main visiting room, and was told where she was by one of the aides, who said Mom had a big smile on her face when she saw me. I was glad that she recognized me as someone who knows her, even though I doubt she would know my name or that I am one of her children. They are taking good care of her there. We looked at some photos and the movie of Robyn showing us her new baby for the first time on Skype. Then it was time for lunch so I helped her over to the tables where they serve lunch to the people there. Grandpa came in just then and she really brightened up. She was very excited to see him. The aides had been showing me that she could “fill in the blanks” when they would sing Christmas carols to her. This shows just how much music has been a part of her life though the years. We love you Mom, and hope you are happy. We are grateful to those who are caring for you now and hope you have a great new year.
